🌱Natural Farming: Acerola Bonsai (Malpighia glabra).

Hello everyone! It is a pleasure to welcome you back to this space dedicated to green life. Today I want to share the awakening of one of my favorite specimens: my Acerola Bonsai (Malpighia glabra).

Beyond its aesthetic beauty, this fruit tree is fascinating for its resilience. Unlike other tropical fruit trees, the Acerola in bonsai format develops a bark that "fissures" over the years, giving it an ancient tree appearance highly valued in the art of tray cultivation.

Also, did you know that its flowers are extremely sensitive to sunlight? Under intense lighting, the pink of the petals becomes deeper, almost fuchsia, while in partial shade they maintain a pastel tone. The key to this explosive flowering has been the balance between the drainage of the sandy substrate and the constant nutrition from organic fertilizer.
