🌱 Natural Farming: Harvesting & Clearing: A Day in the Natural Orchard
My day today can be summarized in two words: cleanup and harvest! 🧹✨ I spent the day cleaning and organizing my natural garden-orchard and, best of all, harvesting my first squashes! 🎃 This harvest was varied and exciting: kabutiá squashes, organic ancos, and even a couple that turned out to be hybrids of both. 🤩

As part of my transition to natural farming gardening practice, I didn't waste anything. I cut the leftover squash plants into small pieces and used them as mulch to fertilize my fruit trees. 🍎🍋 I also took advantage of this natural fertilizer for a tomato plant that, against all odds, survived and sprouted again! 🌱Another good news is that the anco I have on the arch blossomed again today. 😍 Tomorrow I'll post a photo so you can see it. 📸 I had to harvest the squashes and ancos even though they were a bit underripe, because the plants were drying up and the garden needed a good cleaning. 🧹 It's part of the natural cycle, and I'm happy with the results! 💚
To finish, I ran the edge trimmer over the surrounding grass. The next step in my garden is to fertilize with liquid worm castings and figure out how to put up stakes and plant peas. 🌱🌾
