🌱 Natural Farming: Sweat Bee (Agapostemon)

Welcome to a new post on our blog! Today we want to share these stunning photographs of a very special visitor that shines with its own light.

Possibly a Sweat Bee (Agapostemon), known for their spectacular metallic green or silvery color. Unlike the common honeybee, these look like tiny flying jewels bringing life to our gardens.

The Hibiscus syriacus (Rose of Sharon) is a beautiful ornamental tree, but its value goes far beyond aesthetics:

Specialized Pollination: These bees are extremely efficient pollinators. As they dive deep into the Hibiscus flower for nectar, they get covered in pollen (as seen in the photo) and ensure plant reproduction. Urban Biodiversity: Having these little bees in your garden is a sign of a healthy ecosystem. They help maintain natural balance, indirectly monitoring the health of local flora. Strength and Health: By encouraging cross-pollination, they help plants become stronger and more resistant to diseases.

Chears and ¡Happy Farming!

Patience in the garden has its rewards! 🌿 We are experimenting with Yamani Rice cultivation, and the first plant is already showing its strength. In the next blog post, I will tell you all about the germination process, the special care needed for this whole-grain variety, and how we are adapting the irrigation for it to thrive. Don't miss this update on a unique crop for our region!
