Today, we take a closer look at a very common herbaceous plant for this time of year: the Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale).

In the second photo, if you look closely at the bottom-right flower, you'll spot a honeybee foraging; this same shot captures flowers alongside the fluffy seed heads, known as pappi (or vilanos).

Classification: It is a dicotyledonous plant belonging to the Asteraceae family.
- Inflorescence:
What appears to be a single flower is actually a capitulum, a cluster of numerous individual ray florets attached to a central receptacle.
