🌱 Natural Farming: The Rebirth of the Butternut: Flowering and Resilience in the Garden 🌼

Today I want to talk about this beautiful blossom and our organic butternut squash (locally known as Anco). This plant has a remarkable story: most of it had dried out, but it managed to sprout again and bloom once more.

Cretona

This Cucurbita typically grows from August until the first frosts of autumn arrive, which eventually signal the end of its cycle. We are getting very close to harvest time now, and these are no small veggies—each one weighs 6 lbs (3 kg) or more!

¡Chears and Happy Farming!

Stay tuned for my next post, where I’ll be sharing updates on our mandarin orange tree. It’s about 8 to 10 years old now; after a beautiful flowering last spring, it’s currently producing over 10 natural mandarins. Seeing these citrus trees thrive naturally feels like Masanobu Fukuoka’s dream come true. See you in the next one!
