Autumn-Winter 2026:
🌱Agricultura Natural: Yamani Rice
Finally, the first Yamani Rice seedling has successfully taken hold. After noticing the radicle—the very first tiny root—emerging, I moved it to a pot to begin its journey toward adulthood. To support its development, I prepared a specialized substrate mix consisting of:
Organic compost: Providing essential nutrients in a natural, slow-release form. Sand: Essential for ensuring optimal drainage and preventing root rot. Peat moss: To maintain the consistent moisture levels that this marsh-loving cereal prefers.
Yamani rice is a hardy whole-grain variety. Unlike polished white rice, it retains its germ, making germination possible. During this critical stage, keeping the soil consistently moist and providing ample light is key to ensuring the stalk grows strong and healthy.
